Theology on Tap is Back!




St. Edmund is hosting Theology on Tap again this summer!


Come join us for another summer of faith-sharing with other young adult Catholics in their 20s and 30s! We will meet at 7:30pm each Tuesday starting July 14 at St. Edmund in Murphy Hall. Food, beer and fun will all be provided! We are still looking for volunteers so email Sarah if you are interested or have questions: sarahmeyerhughes@hotmail.com
Here is this year's lineup:

July 14: Sr. Theresa Sullivan, DC
“The Call of Christ: Live for Others”
Sr. Theresa Sullivan, a Daughter of Charity over 25 years, is the executive director of St. Joseph Services. She has used her nursing and administrative skills to assist the poor. Her accomplishments include establishing health clinics, a parish nurse program, and ESL programs.

July 21: Fr. Patrick Brennan
“The Powerful Gifts of Forgiveness and Reconciliation”
Fr. Patrick Brennan is the president of the National Center for Evangelization and Parish Renewal, and former pastor of Holy Family Parish in Inverness. An author and practicing psychotherapist, he holds a doctorate in clinical psychology.

July 28: Friar Johnpaul Cafiero, OFM
“Spiritual Aerobics: Keeping Your Faith Life Fit”
Friar Johnpaul Cafiero, OFM is a Franciscan Priest of the Sacred Heart Province, popular retreat preacher, and chaplain for the Illinois State Police, District Chicago. He holds a doctorate in theology, and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.

Aug. 4: Dr. Terry Nelson-Johnson
“The Art of Intimacy: A Good Conversation is Long Overdue”
Dr. Terry Nelson-Johnson is director of faith formation at Old St. Patrick’s Church. For 18 years, he was on the faculty of Loyola Academy. He holds a doctorate in ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake.
