Volunteer hours a big success!!

The SEYA group had a successful day as we fulfilled one of our fundraising/service days for the Church. Twelve members of the group along with a team of other volunteers, helped moved Mary Darnell into her new pediatric occupational therapy site here in Oak Park.
Thanks to all who helped out!

Kickball Returns!!

With the official welcoming of Spring this past month, I'd like to announce that Oak Park Park District Kickball will be starting soon, and SEYA will be hosting two teams again this year! Kickball takes place on Thursday nights at Ridgeland Commons in Oak Park (near the corner of Lake and Ridgeland). The season will run from May 14th to August 13th. We are currently in the works to get sponsorship, but the general cost of playing for the past few years has been roughly $15-$25. If you are interested, please let me know within the next few weeks so we can organize the teams. Who knows? If we have a large enough response, maybe we will need a third team this year. The goal is to have ~15 players per team. The games are typically played either at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45, but nothing has been officially announced yet. All are welcome to join in as kickball has become a very popular activity with this group in the past few years.

Please email Justin @ justinbasi@hotmail.com if you are interested in playing.

Candlelight Bowling!!

Seya is sponsoring a parish-wide "Candlelight Bolwing" event to be held March 28th at Circle Lanes in Forest Park (7244 Cirle Ave). We will have the alley reserved from 7pm-10pm and would like to see 100 people or more attend. This will be open to all parishoners of St. Edmund and we are encouraging eveyone to spread the word.

Tickets will be on sale at the end of all the masses for the next few weeks. We will be selling tickets for $15, which will include 3 "candlelight bowl" games (funny frames/alternative games) and shoe rental. There will be a cash bar (Circle Lanes generally has specials running for $2-$3 drafts) and we are allowed to bring in food. Since Seya is the primary sponsor of this event, we are asking all Seya members who plan on attending to bring a small food item. Please look for an upcoming email which will give details about food.

See you there!
