Advent Scripture Study

SEYA will be hosting an Advent Scripture Study, Thursday, December 4, 11th and 18th.

December 18th we will meet at Molly Malones on Madison St. in Forest Park at 7:30th.

Join us from 7:30-8:30pm as we prepare for the Christmas Season and stay later for food and fellowship.

3rd Annual Pub Crawl

Join us for the 3rd Annual SEYA Pub Crawl!

Please join us for the annual SEYA pub crawl on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Theology on Tap alums are encouraged to come and bring their friends. The pub crawl takes place every year in Forest Park as we walk (or stagger) along Madison Street. Here's the schedule, if you can't make it for the beginning you can join us at any stop along the way:

Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is a speaker series and social event for young catholics in their 20's and 30's throughout the Chicago area. St. Edmund parish will be hosting this event beginning on Tuesday, July 15th at 7:30pm and will run until Tuesday, August 5th.

Wine Tasting! (5/8/08)

St. Edmund's Young Adults will host a wine tasting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at Rave Wines (1114 Chicago Ave, Oak Park). We will be tasting a variety of wines from around the world. Cost will be $10 per person. Please RSVP to Sarah Hughes at to attend. There are only 10 spots available so please respond ASAP if you would like to attend.

Upcoming Events!

Hey Everyone! Here's the list of upcoming events planned for SEYA - hope you can make it out to join in the fun.

Meet and Greet:

Following the 6pm mass in Murphy Hall on January 27th, Feb 10th, and Feb 17th , SEYA members will be available for questions regarding our group and planned activities. On Jan 27th, we will also be heading over to Maya Del Sol, just north of St. Edmund's for drinks. A calendar of SEYA events will be available at all Meet and Greets.

PADS lunch making:
Join us for making brown bag lunches for our area homeless shelter on the following dates:

March 18th
April 15th

Lenten Faith Sharing:
Groups are now forming for weekly Lenten Faith sharing groups. Groups will meet one time per week during the weeks of Lent (Feb 6th through March 22nd). Based on number of people interested, SEYA will split into groups and information about hosting a group will be available. Please contact Emil Paguia at if interested. This is a great way to meet fellow young adults and to explore your faith in an open environment.

Elegant Evening:
Mark your calenders for this year's Elegant Evening, the only St. Edmund's Parish fundraiser of the year! The event takes place on April 19th. Please contact Emil Paguia at if you plan to attend so that we can have SEYA members be seated with one another.
